JP Cormier’s workshop focuses on the crucial difference between merely playing a stringed instrument and truly learning it. Drawing from over 40 years of experience, he teaches students to move beyond memorization and delve deeper into the craft. Participants will explore the “why” behind the music, learn to interpret subtle auditory and tactile signals, and develop the ability to unlock the techniques of other great players. The goal is to gain a complete understanding of an instrument’s mechanics, enabling musicians to perform, create, and enjoy a lifetime of genuine musical growth.
