About This Fundraiser

Friends of Holy Rosary Park, an grassroots advocacy group in the Cathedral area is hosting a fundraiser to support and organize a community-based public consultation (an Ideas Jam) to develop a sustainable vision and plan for the restoration and redesign of the park following the demolition of Holy Rosary School early last year. The Friends have been working over the past two years to help maintain the park as a welcoming and safe public space, in conjunction with the Regina Early Learning Centre and the Cathedral Village Community Association.

The fundraising concert will feature a range of performers for children, youth and adults. We will also be hosting two silent auctions, one for adults and another specifically targeted for kids. As well, look for ongoing discussions and information about what we hope to achieve in the redesign of the park, using the Ideas Jam to build a consensus-based plan to present to funders advocating for resources and development support in keeping the space vibrant, safe and inclusive.

Featured performers will include: Dara Schindelka, Shannon McNabb and Tara Dawn Solheim; Mz. Muzik and the BowTie Guy; The Hotdog! Bluegrass Band; Kaitlyn Semple and Greg Ochitwa; Jack Walton, Erroll Kinistino and Samuel Williams; plus B.D. Willoughby and the Fixter Family Band. It will be a fine time!

Why Your Support Matters

The upcoming Ideas/Design Jam will gather community input into a shared vision for Holy Rosary Park - one that reflects diverse perspectives and can help inform future advocacy, planning, and conversations with the City about resources and development support.

By attending this fundraiser, you are directly supporting a process that centres community voices and helps ensure the park remains vibrant, safe, inclusive, and responsive to the people who use it.
