Glenn Sutter is excited to be releasing his fifth studio album, a collection of folk-rock tunes called “Truth and Lies." All the songs have something to do with feeling at home, from the physical place to the state of mind. Some touch on childhood adventures; others reflect what it means to be a parent and partner. Co-produced by Glenn and Orion Paradis at Soul Sound Studio, the album features Justin Hauck on drums, Michael Paul on bass, and Aaron Thompson on lead guitar. After a opening sets by Dave Grandel and Annie MacLeod Glenn and these guys will roll through most of his new album, some older tunes, and a cover or two, with a few special guests.

This is going to be a fun night full of music, stories, and draws for free CDs, so come help us celebrate and take home some memories!

A bit about Glenn:
Saskatchewan singer-songwriter Glenn Sutter (www.glennsutter.com) offers up songs that help people get away for a while and find common ground through shared humanity, joys and truths. Whether playing solo or with his band, his music is rooted in a life-long passion for piano and a fusion of folk and blues guitar, with hints of Neil Young, Greg Keelor, and John Prine. Shortly after his debut release in 2008, Sutter hit the national spotlight when his song “Weight of the World” became the Saskatchewan track on David Suzuki’s Playlist for the Planet (CBC and Universal Music). Since then, he has toured, released more albums, and played big stages and festivals, including Regina’s Symphony Under the Sky and the All Folk’d Up Festival in Montmartre.

A bit about Dave:
Regina’s Dave Grandel (https://www.reverbnation.com/davegrandel) has been been writing songs on and off for over 30 years, but lately he’s been taking it far more seriously. With a golden voice, introspective and occasionally funny lyrics, and beautiful melodies, he has been gaining visibility as a songwriter and captivating local audiences, including as part of a special Songs for Nature concert that opened the 2023 Regina Folk Festival. He is excited to be opening the show and willing to take any and all questions about gophers.

A bit about Annie:

Hailing from Moose Jaw, Annie MacLeod (https://www.facebook.com/anniemacleodmusic?mibextid=PlNXYD) is a thoughtful and gifted songwriter known for her solo work and as lead singer for her band Annie and the Uncannies. With shades of Bonnie Raitt and Reba McEntire, her beautiful melodies and timeless voice will draw you in and carry you away!
