COVID-19 Safety Policies

Dear friend of the Artesian,

We are so excited to return to live events at the Artesian this fall. Over the last year and a half we have gotten very used to adjusting with the ever-changing COVID-19 situation, and now is no different. With COVID-19 very much still present in our community we feel like we must do whatever we can to protect those who attend our events as well as the dedicated staff, volunteers, and artists who make these events happen. As such, we have made the decision to implement the following policy:

All patrons, staff, volunteers, and artists attending and/or working public events at the Artesian who are eligible for vaccination must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide proof of vaccination*. This means you must have received your second dose two week prior to the day of the show you wish to attend.

We will accept either of the following as proof, as long as your name is clearly visible:
1. A printed copy or screencap of your immunization record.
2. The fully completed card you received when you got your vaccinations or a photograph of said card.

If you are eligible to be vaccinated but unable to provide proof of vaccination we will also accept a negative test result dated within 72 hours of showtime.

For any of these documents your name must be clearly visible, and you must have valid ID that matches.

*If an event is programmed specifically for a youth audience, a significant number of patrons may be unvaccinated. As such, we reserve the right to reduce our capacity capacity will be in place to further mitigate the risk of COVID-19 exposure. The Artesian recognizes not everyone has a positive relationship with their legal name. If you, for whatever reason, would rather not share your legal name, alternate arrangements can be made. Vaccinations can be verified using health card numbers in lieu of legal names, or information can be held on file so that you only have to share this sensitive information once. If you’re unable or unwilling to follow these requirements, refunds will be provided. Please send an email to within 48 hours of the show and a refund will be provided to you.

Additionally, in accordance with the current Public Health Order, masks are required in all indoor public spaces. The Artesian required all patrons, guests, and artists are required to wear masks while in the Artesian unless exempt under the conditions of the current Public Health Order. Find more about the current Public Health Order by clicking here. While inside the Artesian patrons are required to keep their masks on as much as possible. We are continuing to serve refreshments in our basement lounge, which can be brought upstairs and enjoyed in our auditorium during the show. However, we ask that you remove or adjust your mask ONLY when actively eating or drinking and keep it on while conversing with other patrons, during the show, etc. Our staff will ask patrons not actively eating or drinking to put their masks back on, and we reserve the right to remove patrons if they require repeated reminders.

This policy is subject to change as public health information develops. Our priority remains to protect the patrons, staff, volunteers, and artists that make our events happen. We thank you for your cooperation and support at this challenging time and encourage all members of our community to continue to wash your hands, wear masks when you are in public settings, and get your vaccinations as soon as possible if you are able.
