About the Artists:
Canada-based artist ka lok has spent years making music, touring and recording with other artist friends such as Bears in Hazenmore, Megan Nash, and Wolf Willow. During lockdown, while living in Regina, Saskatchewan, he spent time reliving his childhood by eating spicy shin black ramen and replaying the Halo 2 campaign over and over and when he found himself unable to make music with his friends, he started to create his own original compositions as a much needed creative outlet.
Last Birds is the offspring of Canadian Folk Music Award nominated artists, Lindsay Arnold and Mike Davis. Their mesmerizing combination of close harmonies and dynamic guitar work harkens back to the early days of country folk music while exploring dilemmas of the modern day. The duo’s simple, “two voices, two guitars, and one microphone” performances allow complex stories of life, death, loss, love and regret to shine through while their on-stage banter reflects the small town informality infused in their relationship.
Bree & Brown share songs for friends, neighbours, brothers, old dogs and lovers. From kitchen table conversations to meeting at late-night spots, their music tells a familiar story. Bree & Brown is the latest musical endeavour from Saskatchewan-based musicians Lexi Buzash and Brigid McNutt. Conversational lyrics with melodic fiddle and banjo bring the stories of a full cast of characters to life. The pair are working on a full-length concept album of music to be shared in good company
Lova Lamp is an indie/alternative pop project born out of a passion for producing and recording music in a DIY setting. Having grown up in the local heavy metal/hardcore spaces, Lova Lamp sought to explore other genres that they were deeply interested in, and to achieve a longtime goal of releasing music that they recorded and mixed entirely on their own. After some time of compiling countless demos, the debut EP 'Cute for the Summer' was eventually released in the spring of 2020 with the help of some friends. After spending two years at home working away on a follow-up release, Lova Lamp is finally preparing to achieve their aforementioned goal. Their upcoming record was entirely produced, mixed, and mastered in their bedroom studio, and will be released in the fall, with 3 promotional singles "Stare at the Sun", "Keep That Energy" and "Better Shoes" available to listen now.
vbnd and the Soulmate Collective is a Saskatchewan-based group that makes music aimed towards uplifting the Neosoul/Jazz/RnB scene in the province. With over 40 million streams across DSPs worldwide, vbnd is ready to show the world his smooth sounds of Jazz infused Neosoul/RnB
LJ Tyson is a Folk/Pop artist from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Blending themes of identity and social movement, LJ has put his own unique stamp on the music scene. LJ Tyson is an Indigenous person who identifies as part of the 2SLGBTQ+ community. Identity has become a major part of LJ’s work because he feels representation is important in music for minority groups. LJ has shared his songwriting and performance across Canadian radio and venues. Performing his signature blend of folk/pop with his band The Locals, LJ Tyson is moving forward.
