About Ponteix:

From the epicenter of the Canadian prairies, Ponteix condenses hypnotic grooves influenced by RnB and psychedelic indie pop. Mario Lepage’s soft and sincere vocal melodies are sung brightly above saturated electronic motifs, a warm blanket of lush synthesizers and buttery bass lines. The Fransaskois’ pop outfit harbours nostalgic lyrics sung mostly “en Français”. Now as always, Ponteix explores language barriers while delivering to its audiences what is undeniably central to music, emotion.

De l'épicentre des prairies canadiennes, Ponteix condense des grooves hypnotiques aux saveurs RnB et psyché-pop planant. Le projet est né d’explorations musicales du multi-instrumentiste Fransaskois Mario Lepage. Sa voix douce et sincère parcourt des motifs électroniques saturés, recouverts d’un nuage de synthétiseurs et soutenus de profondes lignes de basse à faire vibrer le plancher. La poursuite infinie de Ponteix vers de nouveaux horizons sonores nous emporte dans un univers serein qui donne envie d’en découvrir plus.

About éemi:

éemi est une auteure-compositrice-interprète de Saskatoon, SK. La Fransaskoise a un timbre vocal riche et rauque qui fait frissonner les gens. Elle pince les chordes du coeur en jouant avec les dynamismes de ses compositions poétiques et sombres, mais elle a quand même un côté ludique et cynique qui brise tout de suite la glace.

Récemment, éemi a été nominée aux Western Canadian Music Awards, aux Saskatchewan Music Awards et aux prix Trille Or 2021 pour son premier EP ‘Honey’ qu’elle a lancé en avril 2020. Elle a aussi représenté la Saskatchewan au prestigieux Festival international de la chanson de Granby 2021.

Ce n’est pas la première fois qu’elle se démarque – en 2017, éemi a été finaliste au concours “Planète BRBR” avec l’artiste Marie-Clo avec qui elle travaille sur son prochain projet : Marie-Clo x éemi. Cette nouvelle collaboration lancera son prochain album au printemps 2022.

éemi (pronounced emmy) is a bilingual singer-songwriter from Saskatchewan. The Fransaskoise musician sets herself apart with her rich voice, minimalist lyricism and electro-folk tone. Her lyrics are poetic and dark with a playful side, which allows her to test the boundaries of dark humour. 

Recently, éemi was nominated at the Western Canadian Music Awards, the Saskatchewan Music Awards and the Trille Or awards for her first EP ‘Honey’ released in April 2020. She also represented Saskatchewan at the prestigious Festival international de la chanson de Granby in August 2021.

This is not the first time éemi sets herself apart, in 2017, she was a finalist for the “Planète BRBR” competition with artist Marie-Clo with whom she is currently working on her next project with – Marie-Clo x éemi. This new collaboration is set to release their first album in Spring 2022.
