About The Artesian

On the corner of 13th Avenue and Angus Street, in the heart of Regina's Cathedral Neighbourhood, sits one of the city's most beloved performance spaces. Originally built over 65 years ago as the Calvary Evangelical Church and designed by famed Saskatchewan architects Storey and Van Egmond, the building was lovingly restored in 2011 and reopened as a multipurpose venue dedicated to the arts.

Today, The Artesian is operated by Artesian Performing Arts, a registered non-profit committed to supporting Regina's local arts community. With its warm acoustics, beautiful tin ceilings, original pew seating, and a cozy downstairs bar pouring local Saskatchewan craft beer, the venue offers an atmosphere that's hard to find anywhere else in the city. It's been called one of the best live music venues in Canada, and has welcomed Canadian greats like Martha Wainwright, Sarah Slean, Steven Page, Andy Shauf, and Hayden — alongside countless local artists building their craft.

We host hundreds of events every year. Concerts, theatre productions, dance performances, comedy nights, book launches, weddings, retirement parties, staff gatherings — if it brings people together, we're here for it. While we prioritize the local arts community, we're regularly booked for private and corporate events too, and we'd love to help you plan yours.

The Artesian is fully licensed, all-ages, and wheelchair-accessible. We're located on Treaty 4 territory, the traditional lands of the nêhiyawak, Anihšināpēk, Dakota, Nakoda, Lakota, and the homeland of the Métis/Michif Nation — and we're proud to be part of this community.
