I Love Artesian Fundraiser 2025

This is the time of the year when we celebrate the arts in our community and raise funds for our organization! I Love Artesian fundraiser is a variety show evening where great local artists showcase their talent and show love for the Artesian.

We invite you to an evening where you will meet other Artesian supporters, performing artists, and the people behind the Artesian who make the venue run all year around with wonderful shows and events! Buying a ticket and/or making a donation will directly contribute to our operations and to our ongoing efforts to bring art, music, theatre, comedy, and more to Regina! We would like you to be part of this celebration on April 26th, 2025

This year’s fundraiser features musical performances by Wolf Willow with guests and The North Sound, poetry by Tai Reign, the debut of In Good Company Improv (featuring members of Hitchhikers and Combat Improv), and DJ sets from Vinyl Hang. The evening will be hosted by comedy duo Cole Nicolson & David Carnegie. We will have a raffle with items donated from several Regina businesses and artists, a 50/50 draw and much more!

We look forward to seeing you at the I Love Artesian fundraiser!

Thank you for supporting the Artesian, the arts, and our community!

About the Artists:

Cole Nicolson & David Carnegie

You might recognize Cole Nicolson & David Carnegie as the co-host of “Faces”, an annual quiz show held at Artesian during the liminal space between Christmas and New Years.

Wolf Willow

Wolf Willow is a twelve-piece band that sounds like what would happen “if Dick Dale had joined Loretta Lynn’s band and made a wall of sound album inside the Grand Ole Opry.” Soul of Slippery Butte, their new full length album, is the much-anticipated follow up to 2021’s critically praised Old Guitars & Shooting Stars. Old Guitars dove deep into Wolf Willow’s sensitive side—layered with lush strings and horns, the sweet orchestra sound defined this album and era of the band. Soul of Slippery Butte takes the best of Old Guitars, swaps the sensitivity for swagger, and combines pop-adjacent arrangements with compelling stories and timeless melodies.

The North Sound

At the heart of great songwriting is great storytelling. For The North Sound, songs are a declaration of joy, a hallmark of yearning, and a tender tale of honesty. Yet amidst the rawness, trials and tribulations, there are notes of hope and happiness. This is the duo at their best: Sharing stories in the way they know how.

Forged deep in Treaty 7 Territory, where the prairies rush towards the foothills, The North Sound is a partnership between lead singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Forrest Eaglespeaker and vocalist and composer Nevada Eaglespeaker. A fusion of authentic voices, crisp harmonies and rollicking/burgeoning indie folk-roots rock, the duo — a married couple — weave and wend through themes of family and connection, recovery and addiction. As partners who play and write together, the themes of family, love and sacrifice are inescapable — in their shared sojourn, Forrest and Nevada have forged the core of a rock solid collaboration. And at the heart and soul of the group is an incredible story of two people who stuck it out and found a collective voice to breathe life into tribulations and traditions.

“This is how I pay homage to my heritage as a Blackfoot person, an Indigenous person,” says Forrest. “I express this through song and story, and use the tools that we’ve been given to survive genocide.”

Tai Reign

Tai Reign (they/them) is a Two-Spirit Artist from Peepeekisis Cree Nation based in Regina, Saskatchewan. First discovered poetry as a therapeutic outlet, since they've realized how powerful words are. Now they use poetry to share their world view and make sense of the hardships they've experienced. They have performed across Canada and at the Voices of Today Youth Poetry Festival in Toronto. On their artistic journey they've ventured into theater, where they have co-created, performed and directed two devised theater productions, Lift/Break and The Rehearsal. Currently they are the co-host of RezX on AccessNow.

In Good Company

In Good Company is a Regina based improv comedy group. Combining quick-witted comedy chops with a hankering for narrative storytelling, you’ll be in good company soon.

This is the debut of the In Good Company group featuring members of Hitchhikers Improv and Combat Improv.

Vinyl Hang

Vinyl Hang is focused on hanging out and sharing curated music from ours and our friend’s record collections. Whether it's classics, underground gems, or an obscurity dug out from the back of a dumpster halfway around the world, we play what we love and are here to add more noise to the world of vinyl DJs.
