CVAF: Saskatchewan Book Awards Author Readings

SASKATCHEWAN BOOK AWARDS PRESENTS
Chelsea Coupal, Randy Lundy, and David Robert Loblaw will read from their award-nominated books. Be prepared to be entertained with these authors and their winning ways.

Chelsea Coupal won the 2017 City of Regina Writing Award and was shortlisted for CV2’s 2016 Young Buck Poetry Prize. Her poetry has appeared in literary journals across Canada. “Sedley” is her first book.

Randy Lundy is a member of the Barren Lands (Cree) First Nation, Brochet, MB. His poetry has appeared in anthologies in the United States, New Zealand, and Australia. He has published scholarly articles, writes short stories, and is nominated for his third book of poetry, “Blackbird Song”.

David Robert Loblaw lives on the windy flatlands of Canada with his wife and hound dogs. His lifelong dream of becoming an astronaut will start to come true this weekend when he wins the big lottery. “David G Grade 3” is his first book, a memoir.

This event will be followed by the Saskatchewan Writers Guild 50th anniversary celebration and reception. Join Jillian Bell, President of the SWG, in conversation with founding members of the Guild, including Jean Freeman, followed by lightning short readings by SWG members. And there will be cake!
