About Blu Beach Band:

Hailing from small-town Southeast Saskatchewan, Blu Beach Band is a 4-piece ensemble that exudes passion-fuelled coming of age energy. This indie rock group, consisting of Carter Vosper (Vocals and Guitar), Remi Berthelet (Guitar and Vocals), Eric Vosper (Bass) and Riley Buchberger (Drums), have been jamming together since their pre-teen days. They have since garnered a strong following within the Saskatchewan music scene, and have began to expand their audience through touring the country.

Drawing influence from a blend of Classic 70’s Rock bands like Joe Walsh and Thin Lizzy, as well as Modern Indie Pop such as Peach Pit and Mac Demarco, Blu Beach Band creates a sound that captures a youthful spirit spanning multiple generations, amplified through their high-energy, improvisation driven live shows.

About Starpainter:

Starpainter is a folk rock band from Lethbridge, Alberta. They wear their influences on their sleeves, showcasing old-school songwriting craftsmanship and an affinity for gently psychedelic alt-twang tones. The band’s second full-length, titled Rattlesnake Dream, was released in June 2023 on Neon Moon Records.

Rattlesnake Dream exists in a small-town universe that has become a defining feature of Starpainter’s body of work. Themes of family, aging, and personal loss are explored across the album’s 10 tracks. The record explores new sonic territory, further developing a signature sound built on memorable melodies and imaginative, guitar-heavy arrangements.

Rattlesnake Dream was named one of the best albums of 2023 on CBC's Key of A program, and was #12 on CKUA's top 100 most-played albums of the year. Rattlesnake Dream track "Even in a Car" was named the #1 song of 2023 by AmericanaUK. The album was mixed by Jon Anderson (Andy Shauf, Aiden Knight) and mastered by Philip Shaw Bova (Feist, Father John Misty). The band has been touring in support of the album and has played at festivals across Canada including Canadian Music Week in Toronto and Block Heater in Calgary.

Starpainter is Joel Stretch, Mickey Hayward, Joel Gray, Dylan Wagner, Bailey Kate, and Tyler Stewart.

“. . . what I found in Starpainter was a sound that was new, but felt so familiar and almost intuitive. It’s folk rock, alt-country, whatever you want to call it: it has that very classic sort of prairie Alberta sound.” - Celeigh Cardinal, CBC Radio

About Burrow:
Hailing from Regina, Saskatchewan, Burrow brings forth a unique genre blend of folk, country, and alternative music with their own tastes rooted in psychedelia, slowcore, classic
rock, and indie music. The band came together and established their sound after being inspired by others located in the Canadian prairies such as Living Hour, Field Guide, Marissa Burwell, Starpainter, and Leith Ross, as well as Canadian folk legends Neil Young and Joni Mitchell. The band was formed in October of 2023 after singer-songwriter Emma McGill (Gunton, MB) began attending local shows in Regina and met Joe Roussel (Regina, SK) and Theo Deiana (Regina, SK), who were musicians on the scene. Both Joe and Theo are members of Jake and the Kid as well as Ella Forrest and the Great Pines and have been playing shows together since 2022. Another friend of the group, Slayte Prefontaine (Swift Current, SK), stepped in to play bass guitar. This unlikely group of four musicians combined efforts to bring Emma’s music to life and form a band by the name of Burrow. Over the past year, the band has been writing their debut EP and are excited to begin the recording process in the fall of 2024.
