Theatre Saskatchewan Fundraiser Gala

Theatre Saskatchewan & the Saskatchewan African Canadian Heritage Museum are working together to build community through theatre.

Theatre Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan African Canadian Heritage Museum Inc are proud to present Mark St Germain’s “Best of Enemies”. This collaborative production will be staged at the Artesian, in Regina, as a fundraiser gala on February 24th.

The play is based on a book by Osha Gray Davidson, which recounts the true life triumphs and struggles of black activist Ann Atwater. In North Carolina, in 1971, Ann Atwater and Klan officer C.P. Ellis co-chaired a series of town meetings on the court-ordered school desegregation in Durham.

We are working together to present this play in order to mark the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. and to celebrate his life, work and enormous social impact.

Theatre Saskatchewan Inc. contributes to the growth and development of all aspects of community theatre in the province through education, member funding, awareness, and festival events.

The Saskatchewan African Canadian Heritage Museum Inc. is a provincial organization whose primary purpose is to celebrate, explore, research, document and preserve the history, heritage and contributions of people of African ancestry in Saskatchewan.
